Nijdra Group invests in latest technology
Nijdra Group is thriving, and we still see plenty of opportunities for growth. We hope you will be pleased to read about our recent investments amounting to just under 2.5 million euros. We have replaced some of the machinery in our factories with four cutting-edge turning and milling machines bringing the very latest technology and techniques into our workshops. These versatile additions mean we are well-prepared for the future!
We have introduced some impressive new machinery. The Citizen Cincom L32 X LFV (Type 10), for example. A high-precision longitudinal turning machine that excels in processing complex parts accurately and efficiently. For those in the know: the machine features an adjustable B axis and innovative LFV (Low Frequency Vibration) technology, allowing long-chipping material to be machined into short chips. This means the machine is ideal for turning long pieces with a small diameter as well as shorter pieces with a larger diameter. For optimum performance, we also included a 150-bar high-pressure pump that provides excellent cooling and tool lubrication. In addition, for removing chippings, our machine features full oil filtration with paper band filter (20-40 µm) and a 360-litre tank, including oil mist evacuation with a HEPA H13 filter for a clean and safe working environment.
Two other notable investments are the Nakamura JX-200 and the DMG-Mori CLX-450. The first is a versatile multitasking machine which combines turning and milling. This is ideal for producing complicated components in a single clamping, and provides flexibility and precision for complex projects. The second machine is a robust, powerful and precise turning machine. It's perfect for small to medium series and demanding materials such as hardened steel and exotic alloys.
Icing on the cake
Last but not least, we also ‘welcomed’ the DMG-Mori CTX Beta 1250 TC 2nd with BMO Infinity 180 robotic cell. This combination takes our production capacity to an unprecedented level. The CTX Beta 1250 TC 2nd is a 5-axis simultaneous multitasking machine with 6th-plane machining via the sub-spindle, which means that products can be fully machined in a single clamping. The main spindle can handle up to Ø 315 mm, while the sub-spindle can handle up to Ø 280 mm. A tool store with space for 80 tools and an integrated probe guarantee accurate, unmanned production. Ideal for consistent quality and efficiency, even for complex products.
Adding the BMO Infinity 180 robotic cell to the DMG-Mori CTX Beta 1250 TC 2nd is an absolute game changer. This robotic cell, with a powerful 180 kg robot, is designed to load and unload both the main and sub-spindle, using a 3-point or 2-point gripper, depending on the product. The cell can work with lattice bays as well as Euro pallets, making it ideal for larger and heavier products. For larger series, the stacking function offers additional efficiency as several products can be processed simultaneously. All this means shorter lead times, consistent quality and more efficient use of our resources. So we can fulfil orders for our clients even faster, without compromising on the precision that Nijdra is known for.
More than expansion
These investments strengthen our position in the European market. We can now manufacture products even faster, more accurately and more efficiently. And we can continue to respond to the specific and often complex needs of our clients. But there is more! These substantial investments demonstrate that we are confident about the future. With the latest technology and automation, we remain at the cutting edge of the market and can offer our clients solutions that meet tomorrow's challenges. Prototyping, small series or large-scale production, we are well-prepared. And this also applies to our co-engineering services with which we support clients when developing new applications and improving their own machinery.
